Will decrates the mansion...only to find a lot of ticked of neibors including world boxing champion Evender Holyfield and ex-president Regan. hide « show »

For me this episode was just Alright, it had its up's and it had its down's. Theres a few things that I liked in the episode and a few I didn't. Its cristmes time at the banks household and Will feeling homesick decides to help ashley decrate the house only to make a lot of neibors mad.
One thing I did like about this episode that it had lots of guest stars like: Evender Holyfield and Micheal Launder.
I like the genral idea of the episode of Will going to great lenghts to decrate the house only to find out that a bunch of snubby rich neibors disapprove
But the episode was not..I guess "fun" enough, it was simple just an easy going Fresh Prince cristmes episode. I thought that they should've done something more exciting for a cristmes episodes {like they have in future seasons}.it Was just too boring

It’s Christmas time and Vivian agrees to let Will decorate this year… big mistake! This episode is very funny and has terrific jokes such as Geoffrey being in on the decorating, the lights being visible from the Freeway and the stars that come to the Banks’ house to complain about the decorations including a guy that ordered Will to put the decorations down on the phone but Will could tell by the sound of his voice that he could take him (though it turns out to be Heavy Weight Champion of the World).

Overall, the episode is entertaining and teaches Ashley a valuable lesson.

  • Title: Deck the Halls
The episode title is taken from a traditional Christmas song. The music to "Deck the Halls" is believed to Welsh in origin and was reputed to have come from a tune called "Nos Galan" which dates back to the sixteenth century. In the eighteenth century, Mozart used the tune to "Deck the Halls" for a violin and piano duet. J.P. McCaskey is sometimes credited with the lyrics of "Deck the Halls," but he only edited the Franklin Square Song Collection in which the lyrics were first published. The first publication date of "Deck the Halls" is 1881. The author is unknown but the words are said to originate in the United States. edit »
  • Earlier syndicated versions of this episode cut the very first scene where Geoffrey does a puppet show for Ashley and Will. On later airings, that scene appears while the scene where Will and Ashley are in the store is shortened. edit »
  • Some syndicated versions of this episode cut the scene where the Alligarus practice their Christmas carols. edit »

Will: Thanks a lot, Ash, now I'll never find out what Santa gets for Christmas.
Ashley: He doesn't really get an actual gift, Will, he gets the love from all the kids around the world.
Will: Really? That sounds like a rip off to me. edit »
  • Will: Come on, Ashley, let's write our letters to Santa.
Ashley: Will, don't you have something better to do with your Christmas vacation than writing some silly letter?
Will: Come on, Ashley, you can help me with mine. How do you spell Vanessa Williams? edit »
