I LOVED THIS EPPISODE! bailey is hysterical, callie and mcsteamy are like the best couple ever, and george finally gets to make up his intern test!!! izzy gets the clinic, and bailey sees the bigger picture with her family and her work. the cement boy is amazing in this eppisode and Dr. sloan is soo funny when he makes jokes about callie and erica!! its gross when callie cuts open his leg though. alex finally comes to his sences about rebecca because of izzy-thank god. derek and merideth better last together because they are soo good together!!! this eppisode was amazing!! i loved it!!

Really goos season finale. hide show

The cement patient was certainly very interesting. It was nice to finally see a patient who had a really interesting, but believable case. AS far as interesting went, we've been having that quite a lot, but the fact that it was believable brings me back to season one when the patients were really interesting.

The drama between the girl and the guy with brain tumors was actually really good for me. I enjoyed the story, I enjoyed how they played their roles, it was a very striking and emotional part of the two-parter that made me smile and feel sad at the same time.

Ava gets very odd mood swings that makes me wonder how fast she could have changed so fast. She brought unreasonable and annoying drama to the show, which Meredith was already doing and that really annoyed me.

Sloan encourages Callie to kick it off with Hahn because it isn't a secret that those two love each other and continuously think of each other.

Christina steps it up a notch and was able to assist in the cement patient's case. More power to Christina!

Izzie gets a very big gift from Dr. Bailey and I actually think it suits her and I'm glad to see more of Dr. Bailey in the OR.

    SPECTACULAR! hide show

This episode was absolutely amazing! It kept me on my toes for the whole two hours! The Meredith-Rose confrontation plus the success of the clinical trial was extremely exciting. But what kept tugging at my heart strings was Meredith's self-discovery and the possibility of the MerDer reunion. I was so happy at the end! The candles were spectacular, the scene where she was cleaning up Rebecca's blood was great (a little weird but absolutely idyllic!), George FINALLY standing up for himself to the Chief, etc. Everything about this episode was fantastic! It was extremely well written, executed, and produced. This is completely symbolic of why I watch this show!

This first hour certainly gave us high expectations for the next hour in this season finale, with the residents and attendings working on a pretty peculiar case. hide show

What a great start. The big surgeons (Chief, Bailey, Torres, Hahn, Sloan) all together working on breaking a guy out of a block of cement is really a great case in my opinion. It'll be interesting to see how each of them work together during the surgery, and afterwards. Bailey, especially was touching as she made the patient smile. But seriously, this case was great. Great, great, great.

Derek and Meredith had a pretty cool case as well, with a couple of patients who were both undergoing surgery. The guy died though which was pretty sad. But not as sad as what happened to Ava.

Alex, Izzy, George and Lexie were kinda outta the picture. But Ava was still pretty scary, but to be honest, I didn't wanna see Alex worry over her that much anymore. Really makes Alex look like an ass and Izzy like a really nosy woman. Which was why I was actually happy at first to find out Ava was having some sort of problem, until I saw the blood which was pretty horrifying.

George and Lexie are actually quite alike in character. I like their relationship. And I love that Lexie stole those files and told George he failed the intern exam by just one point. Then the fact that Christina was dyslexic but got eight recommendation letters. And that Alex lied because he had testicular cancer. I loved it.

Good part 1 for the finale. Cement kid was really exciting. Clinical trials still in the make. hide show

Good episode. I loved the cement kid part. Very cool. His unfriends were total idiots and that stupid girl he was in love with was just another idiot to let him go through with that stupid thing and not do anything about it. It's not like they are all 12 years old and daring to eat worms or something. Stupid people.

Izzie started off being a chicken about Ava. I would have called psych on her long before. Ava needs to go.

New kids on the clinical trial for Meredith and Shepard were interesting. Although it's kind of weird that they would let them have sex at the hospital and guard the door. Too funny.

Now on to the second part.
