She was someone that I admired from gradeschool... And her professional career was only the continuation of the person inside. hide show

Taffy... I remember sitting in the cafeteria at our high school where the boys and girls had separate classes and only met at the common areas. I remember her smile that would light a room. I had the biggest crush on her when I was a freshman in high school and sometimes rode my bike about 6 miles from Arlington just to visit her at her home. We met at DJO when some friends that I had known since early days at St James introduced me to her. I remember thinking that she was so alive and full of spirit. It is no surprise that she went on to sing because the songs are only the depth of her feelings about so many things. I went off to the military and then returned. I was proud to have known her and when I was in college at GMC of UVa (later GMU) I would often takes dates to the Cellar Door in Georgetown to hear them sing. We may be in our 60's now but in my memory she is still the young, beautiful, fascinating girl that could change my heartbeat with just a smile.
