I watched the first episode of Merlin at the weekend without too much hope of it being anything more than a time filler, like the last series of Robin Hood, but was very surprised.
I'm not saying that it was brilliant but it started the development of the characters well and began what could be a very interesting story.
Don't watch it as a piece of factual Drama as it obviously isn't but a good fantasy drama which will develop as the series goes on.
I can already see another series on the horizon so enjoy.
I also think that the cast is a very good with new comers and experienced actors mixed together.
