9:00 PM - 9:07 PM
The President addresses the nation to tell them why he had to cancel the debate. He promises more details will be released throughout the next few hours. A reporter suggests the entire emergency was a hoax, in order to get out of the debate regarding Anne. The President assures her that Anne is innocent, and that they have evidence to back it up. Back at CTU Tony and company work fast to try and restore contact to Jack's transponder. He asks Kim to help. When Kim asks for clarification Tony asks annoyed, telling her that he already told her the information she is asking for... but he did not. The Salazars take Chase out of their convoy and send him in to be interrogated. The Ukranian calls and tells Jack and the Salazar's where to go. North, for fifteen minutes. They give Jack some pills in order to help him, the withdrawal is really bothering him. He leaves to go to the bathroom.
9:07 PM - 9:10 PM
Claudia puts her young child to bed. Jack rushes in and tells Claudia what is going on. He asks her to help him, and promises to help get her out. He asks her to get him a cell phone, and then to find Chase, and keep him alive. The two kiss briefly, and Jack rushes out.
9:10 PM - 9:12 PM
The interrogation of Chase begins. They begin to beat him with a shovel. Ramone seems amused at Chase's screams. Claudia approaches Hector and they begin to kiss. She covertly steals his phone, but before she can give it to Jack Hector realises he left his phone inside. Claudia goes in to get it.
9:17 PM - 9:20 PM
Tony makes another error, giving Kim the wrong code they need. Tony gives her the correct one, while everyone begins to worry about Tony. In the Presidential office Palmer is briefed on the loss of Jack Bauer's signal. He gets a call and the man on the phone asks Palmer to come see him, without Wayne.
9:20 PM - 9:22 PM
Its twenty seven minutes since Jack's tracker went dead. Chapelle barges in and demands an update. When they tell him they still have no word Chapelle tells Tony, that the three of them and Jack will take the fall for this operation.
9:22 PM - 9:25 PM
Jack and company arrive at the tent, the Ukranian tells Jack that they have a complication, a new buyer has surfaced and they will now sell the virus through auction. The Salazars are pissed, but decide to play along. The other buyer shows up.... Its Nina! She panics and orders her guards to shoot Jack. The Ukranian has them calm down still not trusting Jack.
9:30 PM - 9:34 PM
Palmer's motorcade arrives at the house of Adam, the man who called him earlier. He calls in his wife, Julia. She tells him that her and Wayne had an affair while Adam was recuperating from a stroke. He asks David to fire him. Palmer refuses. Adam warns Palmer there will be consequences.
9:34 PM - 9:35 PM
Kim goes to Michelle, and tells her about Tony's lapses. Michelle defends him. Kim warns her that if he can't do his job, he will need to be relieved.
9:35 PM - 9:38 PM
Claudia orders Chase's interrogators to fix Hector's truck. She rushes in and tells Chase what is going on and tells him to hang in there. Ramone asks Jack who Nina is. He tells him, and lets him know it won't be a problem.
9:43 PM - 9:44 PM
Claudia tells her son to be ready to flee, she also tells her father what is going on. He tells her to leave without her.
9:44 PM - 9:47 PM
Michells talks to Tony about what mistakes he's made. The two have an argument, Michelle goes to Chapelle and tells him about Tony. Chapelle is very apprehensive about removing Tony from command, but agrees.
9:47 PM - 9:48 PM
Palmer returns to his office and confronts Wayne about his affair. Wayne tells him that he must resign if Alan wants to play it dirty, but Palmer won't fire him.
9:48 PM - 9:50 PM
Tony is brought into a meeting with Chapelle regarding the slips he has made today. Chapelle quizes him quickly on what was on the monitor when he first walked in. He gets it right... perfectly. When they bring up the other two problems Tony tells them that he didn't tell Kim the things she needed to know, he sent them straight to her computer. It would now appear that Tony is not having slip ups. Tony gives Michelle a cold glare, and Chapelle tells Michelle that she wasted time they don't have.
9:55 PM - 9:57 PM
The bidders enter the tent in the middle of the desert. They place their bids for the virus on the table, and it is reviewed. Nina bids 240 Million, the Salazar's... only 225 Million. The Salazar's are escorted out. The plan is falling apart....
9:57 PM - 10:00 PM
They pull over and throw Jack out of the car... they want to kill him. He pleads with them not to kill him, he tells them that he can grab Nina, and get the virus for them. They decide to try.
