(edit)
Chloe: Petty Officer Rooney, you're on with Jack Bauer.
(edit)
Chloe: You know, this is a really good opportunity for you. Why don't you surprise me and not totally screw it up?
Morris: Okay, I'm going to pretend that this will require all my focus and attention, even though we both know I can do it in my sleep. (edit) Chloe: Morris. What are you doing?
Morris: Just making your people more efficient.
Chloe: I notice you picked the most attractive one.
Morris: Wrong. You're the most attractive one. (edit) Chloe: I need some comm unit modifications. I need a certified digital audio transfer rate of 6.8. I can only get to 6.5. Can you do that without talking?
Morris: I could, but it would be a terrible waste of my charm.
Chloe: Okay, ahh, I'm not listening anymore. (edit) Jack: I want you to approach him from behind. Move within eighteen inches, then I want you to take your left hand, put it on his mouth, pull his head back into your chest, exposing his neck, and I want you to take your right hand and slit his throat.
Petty Officer Rooney: Oh, my God.
Jack: You need to cut deep to sever the vocal cords and the carotid artery. (edit)

When Jack asks Petty Officer Rooney, "Which way's the Control Room?" Rooney points to the left and answers, "It's down the hall."
Rooney is a Petty Officer 3rd Class (displayed on the sleeve of his shirt) and therefore has been in the Navy long enough to know that there are no halls or hallways on a submarine.
Even in the midst of what was going on a sailor of his rank would have replied, "It's down the passageway," or "passage." If he was truly flustered by the events he might just point and say, "Aft."
By the time they achieve PO3 rank a sailor will find it almost impossible to use the words "hall", "floor", "wall" or "ceiling," instead they will use the words "passage", "deck", "bulkhead" and "deckhead" without a second thought. (edit) The V-Series of nerve gases (of which the VX types are the most deadly) are persistent agents. This means that they leave a film behind, coating every surface that was exposed to the gas. The terrorists would not be able to remove their masks after flushing the air from the sub without exposing themselves to this residue. For proper decontamination the entire sub would have to have every exposed surface scrubbed down. (edit) When the terrorists release the nerve gas on the submarine, they only wear gas masks. Nerve agents can be absorbed through the skin. While they wouldn't die by asphyxiation from the gas, it could be harmful and the very least provide some muscular discomfort. (edit) There are several similar circumstances surrounding the deaths of Christopher Henderson and, in S1, Victor Drazen.
First of all, they were both shot by Jack Bauer (which isn't that astonishing a similarity), and at nighttime.
Both deaths occurred at (approximately) the twenty-minute mark of the hour.
They both had bad histories with Jack, and Jack had personal reasons to kill them.
Prior to being killed, they tried to fire at Jack, but their guns were empty. Jack killed them for personal gain when they were unarmed.
Finally, they were both killed at the Port of Los Angeles. (edit)
