I already sold off my old season 1 set. So, I will definitely be getting this one. I am really looking forward to hearing Stephen Hopkins 2 commentary tracks and watching the Genesis of 24 documentary.

I want to read a review of the set before double dipping. If any of you own the special edition set or know where there is a review of it online (including discussion of video/audio quality and quality of extras) please post it or a link to it in this forum. I'm leaning toward buying it, but a good review would definitely convince me.

I've already got season 1, I wouldn't mind getting more from it, but I won't really be holding much interest until the price comes down.

Best Buy has it for $39.99, which is reasonable. I can see that some of you are probably not interested in double dipping because watching it once was probably enough and you can't justify spending another $40 or so for this.
I think this set was more or less made for the fans who wanted some more extra features from season 1. Remember season 1 had pretty much zero extras except the alternate ending and the Kiefer introduction. Also, the episodes didn't have chapter selections either. The original set was rushed into stores to promote season 2 without much work going into it.

Yeah I jsut like watching the episodes, rarely watch bonus features..so nope. Walmart here had it out last week too.
