Lt. Coleman, although never seen, was based on the real life lieutenant of the E.S.D. (Emergency Services Detail) at the time (Lt. Jim Coleman). He is actually a world-renowned expert on special weapons and tactic and served as the founder for the N.T.O.A. (National Tactical Officer's Association).
