Show Summary

Edit Summary »

Norman Lear returns with a more modern day takeoff/sequel of his hit TV series, All in the Family. Nearly twenty years after Archie Bunker left his home on 704 Hauser street a new African American family, the Cumberbatches, move in. The show focuses on their lives with the uproars, romances and tragedies. Despite it being a top-rated comedy series, CBS cancelled the show only after one season.

Cumberbatches?? Ugh!!! hide « show »

The name of the family was the best of this train wreck which attempted to remake "All in the Family" using the same house that series took place in. The family is now black instead of white, the son is conservative dating a white woman while the father is a liberal. Hahaha, make everything the opposite and it will be funny! NOT!!!!

I barely remember this but what I do remember is it was painful to watch. Mercifully it was cancelled after only 5 episodes - 5 episodes too many. This series was a great example why such landmark series as "All in the Family" should NEVER be remade.
