Two parishioners entreat Eric to take their suffering dog to the vet to be put down. Matt catches Mary in a lip-lock with Michael Towner in a most unlikely place. When caught, Mary gets into a big fight with Matt because he's always intruding in her life. After a night of cooling off and a talk with Sgt. Michael's and each other (Matt and Mary), things go back to normal. Simon and Lucy double date together with birthday girl Deena and her older brother who is visiting. The dates are a success.

Lucy: Can I go with him? (Eric)
Annie: To sit with a dying woman? I don’t think so.
Lucy: Why not?
Annie: Because...because it’s ridiculous. (edit) (talking about the Carberrys)
Annie: I hope they’re okay. Is it Burt’s or Cheryl’s mom?
Eric: I’m not sure. I wasn’t aware that either of their moms' lived with them.
Annie: I don’t remember them bringing her to church.
Eric: Maybe, maybe she’s been sick for a long time.
Lucy: Sick for twenty years?
Eric: It’s possible.
Annie: It seems strange. (edit) Mary: I can't believe Ruthie has a date! (edit) Lucy: Just like clockwork, here it is another Friday night and once again everybody has something to do but me. I mean what's wrong with me. Do I smell or something?
Eric: Just like roses. (edit) Lucy: Why are you so dressed up?
Ruthie: I've got a date! (edit)

Episode Title: All Dogs Go to Heaven
Its also an animatied Disney movie that is which is the same title. (edit) Lucy Camden: "Oh yes, I speak French, but it would make you cry."
At the restaurant where Simon, Lucy, Deena and Jack were at, Lucy spoke a little fractured French to the waiter. 'Oui' stands for 'yes' in English. (edit)
