This episode was a good storyline, because being the bachelor he is, Charlie was bound to split at least one Condom.
The whole episode is really surrounded around the possibility of Charlie having a child. The episode constantly teases the idea of the kid being Charlie's son, although the audience can't help but have doubts throughout.
The Kid is hardly shown throughout the episode, so there is a small chance that he'll become a recurring character.
Charlie eventually succumbs his issue by promising to give money to help raise his child.
In a privaleged point of view scene, the audience then discovers that the kid didn't even belong to "Chrissy(?)".
In other regions of the episode, it's now becoming more apparent that Jake isn't the little tubby kid anymore. Obvious growth in height, deepening of his voice and his character development shows his ageing. The script writers have managed to hold on to the "idiot" humour that has been fulfilled in Jake, but Jake cannot be oblivious to sexual phrases and discussions anymore, so the script writers have begun to keep him out of the conversations, which kills half the humour the audience once got from Jake.
Evelyn makes an appearance in this episode. Her character has made no development. She still hates Charlie, and arrives at the most difficult times.
The same with Berta's character, which hasn't changed. Berta is constantly walking around with her laundry, adding in her humerous one-liners, and voicing her sickening previous experiences.
Overall, this is a good returning episode, after a disappointing 19-episode-Season previously. All humour is still well scripted, and character development is only obvious in Jake. It's a well scripted episode where Charlie once again tackles a previous relationship, rather than embracing any form of a new or current one.

In the sixth season opener - Charlie discovers than an ex of his has a son that looks almost exactly like him and that his name is Chuck. lol. Short for Charles.
So, Charlie is trying to find out if Chuck is his own child. His ex girlfriend would not tell him. So, it is killing him inside knowing that the child out there could be his own. Charlie then goes to his ex girlfriend's apartment and give her money for kind of Child Support and tells her that he will pay her every month. He leaves the apartment and a women comes up to her apartment and takes Chuck. His ex girlfriend wasn't the mom of Chuck. LOL

So the thought of Charlie being a dad is what this episode is about. An ex-girlfriend has a kid who looks remarkably like Charlie. This lead to huge laughs and hilarious situations for Charlie. Charlie learns that a condom isn't 100% effective after a rather funny, swaying off topic, talk with his chemist. The scene with all the flashes of Charlie being a dad I found rather good. I reckon Charlie would make an awesome dad.
I thought they could have dragged the plot out more instead of ending the whole Charlie having a kid storyline ending there.
Good ratings as well with Viewers: 14.93 million (#2), A18-49: 5.3/12 (#1t).

Wow! It is hard to think that any show out there can have such talented writers. In season 6, the show is still amazing. Charlie's ex has a son who looks like him, named Chuck.
Alan: Hey, are you alright?
Charlie: No, I'm not.
Alan: What's going on?
Charlie: Alan, I have always conducted my sex life according to three simple principles: One-if at all possible, ladies first; Two-it is easier to be forgiven than ask permission; and third and most important-the ten seconds it takes to put on a condom beats the hell out of the ten years you have to pretend to like soccer.
Great episode! The kid isn't Charlie's, though. :)

Two and a Half Men returned last night and produced some fine comedy with a few good gems. TAAHM has repeated several storylines throughout its 5 year run, but they always manage to keep things fresh. Charlie was on top of his game as usual, as was Alan, but unfortunately Jake seems to be aging too much and his appeal is starting to go down. That's not to say he was not mildly amusing, but the main element that made this show unique, two adults one child, is pretty much no longer present.
I thought that this storyline went for a little too much sympathy for Charlie instead of pure laughs like a comedy should do. It was still very funny, but this was not the greatest episode ever. A good comeback from the summer hiatus though.
