The above is highly annoying, even more it's extremely confusing. One episode guide does not accept international air dates, another will accept quotes that other will not, the same for trivias. You are most often sent off to view a tucked away post on a forum to view the rules specific to one forum. There must be an easier way to specify rules rather than putting effort into something that is then not accepted.

Thanks, but your question isn't a forum moderation issue. You can post in TV.com ideas if you yourself have an easier way to do it.

That noted, since each editor is a unique individual, and each one is expected to use their own judgment, there's no way to make all editors accept quotes and all trivia. Or set objective rules for what quotes are "memorable" or "unique."

If an editor isn't pinning a thread of forum rules, you should ask them to do so. Otherwise, they shouldn't be tucked away.

For objective submission material like international air dates, or music, or many other types of Notes, the best way to find out what is acceptable is to look at what has been accepted. Particularly on shows that have been around for a while. Take a minute, glance back at a few episodes, and see how it's done. If a show is on season 5 and you look at the first couple of episodes of season 1 and don't see international air dates... the editor is probably not doing international air dates.

PMing the editor first before you submit, if you're focusing on one or two shows, is also helpful.
