In this episode, Reed and Malloy are constantly being called to the house of a Drag Racing promoter (played by Dick Clark) due to illegal races being held outside of his home.

After a long talk, the promoter agrees to hold local races at his facility so that it will take the races off the streets, and put them in a safer environment, until someone steals the timing equipment.

Reed and Malloy are able to find, and return the equipment in time for the races to be held, in which Reed participates.
