Adam Carolla: Biography
Adam Carolla ,born May 27, 1964; is well known as a comedic television and radio personality. He is often known for co-hosting The Man Show on Comedy Central. Carolla left The Man Show at the same time as his good friend and co-host Jimmy Kimmel, even after reportedly being offered $50,000 an episode to continue. Currently he is co-hosting Loveline, a radio program produced by Westwood One, which was also previously a mainstay on MTV. Also co-hosting the show is Dr. Drew Pinsky, Board Certified Physician and addiction medicine specialist. Adam also works on, and is a regular guest of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Carolla, along with Kimmel created another TV show named Crank Yankers for Comedy Central. They are also the heads of Jackhole Productions.
Carolla came from blue-collar roots and was on his own at the age of 18, where after graduating high school he worked as a carpet cleaner, carpenter, and a boxing instructor. In his late twenties he was discovered as a comic talent by Kimmel while working as a boxing instructor.
Carolla has also done voiceovers for cartoons, including the Death on Family Guy, and at least one occasional character on Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
Currently, he has three new shows: The Adam Carolla Project, Too Late with Adam Carolla, and Drawn Together -voice of Spanky Ham.
- Adam: I'd be at someone's house or be up on the roof all day and I'd get lonely - stir crazy - and talk radio became this soothing voice in my life, ... But the idea that I was making $10 an hour and stacking drywall while these guys were making a few hundred thousand, and they were having a party, and there were Playmates and there were good times, I just couldn't imagine it.(edit)
- Adam: I'm really just trying to hash out the next two weeks of my life, ... so, something that is potentially four months down the road is not just a mile down the road for me, it's a million miles down the road.(edit)
- Adam: I got drunk in Canada. I was there for 2 days but I was drunk there for 4 days. I don't know how it worked. I guess it was with the time difference or something.(edit)

- Adam: I spoke to my dad, and he said it took close to 90 dollars to raise me. But that was me and my sister, and my sister moved out when she was 16, so sometimes it can knock you up to triple digits to raise a kid.(edit)
- In June 2007, it was revealed that Adam, along with Johnny Knoxville and Jimmy Kimmel, was being sued by an actor claiming he remained unpaid for work he performed in the movie Windy City Heat in 2003.(edit)

- (May 2005) Adam is about to enter his tenth year co-hosting Loveline, the national radio show, along with Dr. Drew (Drew Pinsky). The 2-hour talk & advice show is syndicated nightly to North American radio stations on the Westwood One Radio Network.(edit)
