But Lucy catches on and ransoms Gabe for the Angel, but the mobsters show up and break up the whole thing. The gang trounces them, Brother John retires from the Abbey, and Lucy returns the Angel.

Notes

add »
Christien Anholt previously played Nigel Bailey on AI's predecessor show, Relic Hunter. Much of the production crew and writers on AI were involved in that show too. The character he plays here is initially almost the antithesis of the overly chatty Nigel and one suspects the "going off thing" at the end might either be intended as an in-joke, or a set up for him to return in the future. (edit)
This show marks the typical mid-season switchover for similarly produced shows (Highlander, Relic Hunter) where having wrapped up the first half of filming in the U.S./Canada, they jump over to Western Europe for the second half of the season. (edit)

Quotes

add »
Brother John: You realize, my son, that violence is never a solution.
Rohan: You ready to put your faith to the test? (Mac slugs him)
Brother John: Okay, so I was wrong. (edit)
Judson: I'm not sure I want to put Gabe in a compromising position.
Gabe: Do I have a say in this? Some compromising positions are better than others... (edit)
