In this episode, Claire asserts she will keep quiet about her mother Sarah's new boyfriend by saying, "I know nothing, I know nothing!" in a Spanish accent, directly quoting the character of Manuel from "Fawlty Towers." Sarah is of course played by Prunella Scales, Sybil Fawlty in that particular show.
