WildfireEpisode Number: 47 Season Num: 3 First Aired: Saturday January 11, 1986 Prod Code: 61116 |
Dominic introduces Hawke and Caitlin to an old friend, Big Cec – the owner of an oil drilling company in the desert, and his son Little Cec, who works at the company. But they find themselves walking into the middle of a feud that has emerged between the two since the death of Big Cec's wife. With Dom staying with the pair for a few days, he is shocked to learn that Little Cec was thrown out of college for selling marijuana, and is even more concerned when he discovers that he now is being forced by a head of the oil company to make drug runs in part of a drug smuggling operation. Dom sets about trying to put things right, but it is no easy task going against the ruthless drug runners...

In an interesting coincidence (or possibly even a light case of plot recycling), a second season episode of 'The Incredible Hulk' is also titled 'Wildfire', and sees David Banner working on an oil-rig that is also sabotaged, resulting in massive explosions and fire at the climax of the story, similar to events seen in this episode.
(edit)
This is very much Dominic's story, with Hawke and Caitlin only really seen early on and late on in the episode.
(edit)
Alex Cord (Archangel) does not appear in this episode.
(edit)
First episode of the series to be (c) 1986.
(edit)
Obviously at this point, Airwolf's top secret status has become either a decreased priority, or a writer's oversight, because the Airwolf crew enlist the assistance of a friend to help do maintenance on it, which normally would strictly be String and Dom's responsibility.
