When Jasmine gets pulled out of the water her shoe is still missing, but when they are all on the beach she has it back on.

When Jasmine was being held captive by Armaan as Selene went to go after Aladdin, her hair was untied, but when she reached Selene her hair was tied up again.

Genie masquerades as a waiter named Gene, who wears a sailor's outfit. This is a reference to Gene Kelly, who dressed as a sailor in the 1945 musical Anchors Aweigh.

The title is a play on the famous saying by Sherlock Holmes "Elementary my dear Watson" which he would always say whenever Watson asks how he figured something out.
