In the season finale, Ray Walsman is arrested and handed over to the Samaru police, but he escapes, as Mike Flynn sets a trap for him.

Alan was nominated, along with his Ugly Betty castmates for a SAG Award in the category of Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2008. (edit) Alan was a former milkman way before he became a successful actor. Also he is the only actor to have appeared in the fictional TV Cabinets of both President Jed Bartlet (The West Wing, played by Martin Sheen) and President David Palmer (24, played by Dennis Haysbert). (edit) Alan was the third actor to be offered a regular role (behind Melinda Clarke and Rachel Bilson) on The OC, after previously having a recurring role playing Caleb Nichol. (edit) In the video game Yakuza, Alan voices Masa. (edit) He voiced Vice President Jim Prescott, in video game 24: The Game.

Alan: (on "Neighbours", the show that started his career) I didn’t like it there, they were not nice people. They treated us badly, so I don’t owe them anything. They sell it [the show] all over the world, make millions and still not a dollar for us [the actors]. It was just so awful, so I didn’t go back for the 20th anniversary thing. (edit) Alan Dale: (About his part in Lost) It's funny you should say that, because my publicist rang me about it just after she saw it, because I didn't tell anyone I was doing that. And she said she was very concerned, because how could I possibly do both [shows]? I don't know the answer to that. I was delighted to be asked to do it. I loved the character; it was only one scene, but it was a really nice scene, and I agree with you. And Ian [Henry Ian Cusick, who plays Desmond], the guy I was working with, is a lovely guy, and I was thinking, it could well be… I might be able to do both. It's not usual, but… (edit) Alan Dale: (About his interaction with Betty on Ugly Betty) I think they're probably going to spend more time with the intrigue of what happens at the [magazine] and all that sort of stuff, probably. I won't have much to do with her. I mean little bits; I'll have a scene here and there. The episode we're shooting now, I'm with her. But mostly, it's just like I don't even really know that she exists in a way (edit) Alan Dale: (On Marissa's Death) I don't understand what they're planning on doing with that. I have to say, they must feel really confident with the other characters to carry it, because it's that doe-eyed gentleness that she gives off that I think was very valuable to the show and I don't know what they think they're doing. But I guess they know their own business. I'm just an actor; I don't know. (edit) Alan Dale: (About his happiness with doing his last scene with Melina Clarke in a bikini) Oh Lord, was I! I couldn't actually… She took my breath away. She just looked great. She worked out to do that too. She knew; I think she must have known before I did, because she started to work out quite hard, and all that sort of stuff. And there she was. When she came out in that bikini, my god! It was fabulous, yes. Beautiful. (edit)
