A party is set to select its presidential candidate at it's convention. Supreme Court justice Paul Westerman will clinch the nomination if he makes a deal with corrupt Governor Cowlin, whose delegates' votes he needs. Westerman's campaign manager says him he must make the shady deal to get the necessary votes. Close friend Fulton Willis, however, advises him to avoid Cowlin's overtures at all costs. The nomination and his future political career hinge upon his decision.
