Eddie is a small-time crook faced with a big problem. He owes $1000 to hoodlum Joe Crowley and has only a few hours to come up with the money to repay the debt or be killed. Now, cornered in his room, Eddie tries frantically to raise the money. He begins making call after call in an attempt to sell everything he can to get the money before six o'clock.
