Alec is a graduate of the University of San Diego then moved to the eastern Sierra mountains, working with the Mammoth Mountain professional ski patrol. While working as a lifeguard he was spotted by a modeling agent which led to him landing his first modeling job with Abercrombie and Fitch. His modeling career led to commercials, which also led to Alec auditioning for I Wanna Be a Soap Star's second season. Alec won, landing a coveted 13-week contract role on the daytime soap opera All My Children, bringing back a major character, Del Henry. Alec turned out to be such a hit with both the show and fans that the network chose to extend his contract. Although he films in New York, Alec's primary residence is in California, and he returns as often as he can.
