To stress the importance of choosing which products to endorse, ALF mentions Bill Cosby and gelatinous products. Bill Cosby is an American actor famous for his 80's sitcom, The Cosby Show. He also used be the public spokesman for "Jell-O". (edit) To illustrate his opinion that the camera adds 20 pounds to one's nose, ALF uses Gérard Depardieu as an example. Gérard Depardieu is a French actor whose nose is large. (edit) When being fitted for his fake space suit, ALF says he's the same suit size as Danny DeVito and the same dress size as his wife. Danny DeVito and wife Rhea Perlman have been married since the early 80's, and the joke was probably due to the actor's stature and build. (edit) ALF says Neil Armstrong had no personality. Baywatch (1989-2001) was a TV series about gorgeous lifeguards on California beaches.
