Niki: The Gucci trunk show is in Paris this week.
Gucci is known as one of the top names is fashion around the world. It started in the 1920s as a small company in Italy that made leather goods and saddlery. It moved into other lines, such as womens purses and shoes before finally branching out into all sorts of clothing. (edit) Niki: How many games of Yahtzee can one person play?
Yahtzee is a game played with five dice. The object is to score the highest number of points, gained by rolling the dice for combinations similar to poker hands (four of a kind, full house, two pair, etc.) Milton Bradley manufactures and markets Yahtzee. (edit) Niki: This is all so 'Nick at Nite!'
"Nick at Nite" is how the Nickelodeon cable network began referring to and promoting their prime-time programming several years ago. The network had been almost all children's programming up until then. They decided on a strategy to get the parents watching their channel after the kids finished with it, and to that end they started broadcasting reruns of old favorite sitcoms of the baby boom generation, such as Leave It to Beaver and I Love Lucy. (edit) Niki: Well, now we live on the Gold Coast...
Chicago's Gold Coast is downtown fronting the Lake Michigan shore. Residences there are ultra-expensive and chic, the equivalent of midtown Manhattan in New York. (edit) Niki: She has to live with Dr. Evil and Cruella De Vil.
Dr. Evil is the villainous mad scientist plated by Mike Myers in the Austin Powers movies which have bee so extremely popular. Cruella De Vil was the black-clad evil villainess in the Disney animated movie One Hundered and One Dalmatians (1961). It was later made into a live-action film in 1996 with Glenn Close starring as Cruella. (edit)
