Margaret: I know, I know. I really screwed up this time. I was too impulsive. I was irresponcible. It was all my fault.
Mrs. Kim: Don't blame yourself. That man was a fruitcake.
Margaret: But there's got to be a lesson I can learn from this.
Mr. Kim: This time you're in the clear. The guy is a nut. Good night, honey.
Margaret: I still say there's a lesson.
Stuart: This was an isolated case. You'll never see anything like it again. Good night
Margaret: There's got to be a lesson There's always a lesson.
Grandma: Ahh. Sometimes you feel like nut, sometimes you don't. Ahh. You feel like nut. (edit) Margaret: E.T. affected people all over the world. It obviously had some kind of universal appeal.
Prof. Whitaker: Miss?
Margaret: Kim.
Prof. Whitaker: Miss Kim, popularity does not equal artistry. E.T. was a cute little story about a cute little alien.
Margaret: Uh-huh. (picks a Milk Dud from here teeth.) It's more than that. It's about friendship, it's about feeling like an outsider. I mean if you weren't moved by that film, than you might as well just, umm (raises her finger, points at Prof. Whitaker and in her best E.T. voice) go home.
Prof. Whitaker: It was riddled with flaws. What other important work has the protagonist die and then miraculously come back to life at a crucial point in the narrative?
Margaret: I dunno. The Bible.

Rodin/The Thinker
While comparing her film profesor to other artist she mentions Rodin but none of them can remember the sculpture he was most famous for. While trying to remember they all assume the classic pose of The Thinker, the sculpture they are trying to remember. (edit) Educating Rita
