The table is set for dinner. Mike starts eating from the relish tray placing olives on his fingers. Gloria eats one of olives off his finger. They passionately kiss. They ask Edith when Archie is coming home just as he walks in the front door. Gloria mentions that he's late leading to a discussion about how precise Archie's life is. He mentions that he was in an accident while driving one of Bert Munson's cabs. He claims that a Jewish woman hit him leading Mike to object. They sit down to dinner. It's chaos with everyone reaching for different foods and no one says a word. Archie complains that the meat isn't cooked enough. The men argue about ethnic slurs.
Mike wants to hear more about Archie's accident. Lionel comes over because he knows about "the little dent" Archie put in one of Munson's cabs. He's also come over to pick up dry cleaning for his parents' laundry business. He explains that they got $3,200 from suing after they got rear ended by a bus. Archie starts thinking about the money he could get from this accident. Archie screams out in pain claiming that his back is hurt from the accident.
Edith acts as Archie's nurse while he's laying on the couch. Archie insists that they see a lawyer before they see a doctor. When Mike and Edith suggest lawyers they know Archie insists on one from the yellow pages. After Mike reads random names from the phone book Archie chooses the Jewish law firm of Rabinowitz, Rabinowitz, Rabinowitz.
The lawyer is on the way and the ladies tidy up the house. Archie is suprised when a Gentile lawyer with the last name Fitzroy shows up to take his case. The lawyer claims that Archie would be more comfortable with someone more like him. Archie then demands a Jewish lawyer.
Archie talks with Solomon Rabinowitz an older gentleman while wearing a neck brace. The only reason Mr. Rabinowitz took the case is because of Archie's passionate plea. We learn that Fitzroy is married to Mr. Rabinowitz's only daughter. The attorney for Mrs. Greenspan, the other party in the accident arrives at the Bunker house. His name is Clarence V. Marshall, a Gentile. The two lawyers discuss the case. We also learn that there's a station wagon full of nuns as witnesses. Archie lets the lawyer speak for him but everything falls when Mr. Marshall mentions that Archie was going the wrong way down a one way alley. Mr. Rabinowitz can't get past the nuns as witnesses and quits the case.
Lionel comes back with the Bunker's laundry. He mentions that he thought of Archie all week thinking that he would want the name of the attorney who represented his parents. Edith mentions that Archie lost the lawsuit. It ends up that the lawyer's name was Mr. Rabinowitz. Archie can't believe it.
