Nelle and Ling compete about who will have the most bids from the charity auction dinner date and Cindy (Mark's ex-girlfriend the transvestite) has plans for Richard for charity auction.

Kimmie can only go on dates if her mother goes too. But in her first date with John, Lynnie is nowhere to be found. This is explained in this episode when John says her mother only starts to chaperone once the relationship deepens.
