He was then fired from the show, and the season finale had to be re-written (and the last part of the episode before that too, I think). That's the reason why the episode is called "The Wedding", but there's no wedding on it. Apparently, if RDJ had not been fired, DEK would marry Ally and Larry on the season finale. But that's all speculation that was spread around the internet after his arrest. Although Fox's reps deny he was fired, DEK was "furious" for having to re-write the two part season finale. Calista was also very shocked to learn that her co-worker had been arrested. She reportedly fainted when DEK told her. (edit) Leslie Jordan's character, Dr. Harris, would later switch over to "Boston Public" where he is a recurring character.
