An ex-politician released from prison fans the flames of a prison riot to divert attention from his plan to break out his two partners. When the criminally minded trio are free again, they plot to rob $100 million unless Peter, taking pictures of the prison riot for the Daily Bugle, can interfere with their plans.
While working on a story at the airport, During the theft at the airport, Julie Masters unintentionally snaps a photo of the man in charge of the shocking theft of NATO defense plans.
With Julie's life threatened, Peter must figure out what the thieves are searching her apartment for and keep her alive. With the photos finally in Peter's hands, Spider-Man must trap the same thieves and recover the sensitive government papers.
While a $10 million is stolen from the safe of a business located in a newly constructed, computer controlled New York skyscraper, the thieves program the computer to lock down the building, trapping Jameson, Peter, and rival photographer Julie Masters inside. Peter must figure out how to escape both thieves and friends for long enough to change into Spider-Man, free the occupants, and catch the thieves.
