The episode starts with Jake and his class taking a field trip to the Cosmopolitan Museum of Art. Spud and Trixie both ogling their crushes; Spud liking Stacey, one of the head cheerleaders, and Trixie liking Kyle Wilkins. Spud goes up to talk to Stacey, but her and her cheerleading posse Lacey and Tracey insult him badly. Luckily, Trixie comes after him to back him up.
Meanwhile, Rotwood is chaperoning this field trip. But while he was yelling at the students, he accidentally knocked over a statue. The statue continues down some stairs and into a security room, knocking down another statue. Unfortunately, that statue was Fury, one of the three Gorgon sisters, and she was released from her stone prison. Now free, she set out to find and free her two other sisters, Euryale and Medusa. However, she makes a quick stop at the bathroom where she meets up with Stacey and the two other cheerleaders…
After the field trip, Gramps informs the group about Fury freeing from stone. He tells them that for now all Fury's powers can do is hypnotize her victims. But once she releases her sisters, they'll be able to turn anyone into stone, allowing them to take over.
Jake, Trixie, and Spud head into the Vidal Gorgon Industries, where Euryale's stone body was on display. However, by the time they get there, Fury is already there. Fury and Jake fight, but once it seems Jake's winning, Fury unleashes her minions. Her minions turn out to be Stacey, Lacey, and Tracey. As Jake is distracted with the cheerleaders, Fury escapes with Euryale.
They figure that the cheerleaders must be under Fury's spell, and will summon them when she needs them to free her only sister left, Medusa. Gramps thinks they'll need to send someone under cover, as a cheerleader. Someone who can blend and watch so they'll find Fury and Euryale. Trixie offers herself, but no one believes she can actually be a 'real girl.'
The next day, Spud tries out as the mascot, to see if he can watch them as that. Unfortunately, Stacey rejects him. But suddenly, Trixie pops out in a cheerleading outfit. Soon she is doing flips, and a cheerleading routine that leaves everyone speechless. She makes it on the team.
Soon Trixie's relationship starts to tighten with the cheerleaders. They improve her wardrobe, they go get facials, and even Trixie starts to develop that cheerleader 'attitude.' It almost seems like she is forgetting the mission. This sudden change in personality starts to scare Jake and Spud.
Then, Trixie, Stacey, Lacey, and Tracey all get together for a sleep over to celebrate Trixie's change. But when Jake and Spud sneak over to remind Trixie about the mission, Trixie gets annoyed and joins back with her new crew. But once she returns, they are all gone. Trixie runs out the door, to follow them. They lead her to a dock, where Euryale and Fury are. They cast a spell on her, and Trixie is then under their command.
It's not long before Jake and Spud realize something is wrong. They return to the shop, where they figure out a way to track down Trixie. Fury, her sister, and the cheerleaders are now on a boat, trying pull Medusa's stone body out from the water. The crew fly out to their ship, but soon Gramps, Jake, and Fu find themselves in stone. Luckily, Spud helps Trixie break through her spell, and together they find a way to imprison the Gorgons in stone. Gramps, Jake, and Fu are free from stone, and they all escape safely leaving the Gorgons to sink into the water.
In the end, Trixie gives up being a cheerleader and returns to her normal attire. And even with Stacey's attitude, Spud still hopes that he'll get his chance with her.
