Jake is waiting for Trixie to be done with her blog, and Spud to be done watching internet videos in the library. Suddenly, noises could be heard from outside the library. Jake and the gang go out, to see Brad reading people's permanent record files. Jake tries to tell Brad to stop, but that only makes him read his files. Rotwood mentions in Jake's file that Jake lives a double life as a...dragon?

Jake tries to deny it, but Brad starts to make jokes about him. Soon every one in the area starts laughing at him. At that exact moment, Rotwood comes out, and just so happens to mention about voting for the school's best's and most's. He also mentions about a new category called, 'Biggest Weirdo Freak.' He asks for any nominations, and automatically puts Jake for that category.

Mad, Jake goes into Rotwood's office, asking for an explaination. Rotwood tells him, about a promise he made to himself a long time ago. He pledged that he would expose a magical creature, before his 47th birthday, which was coming up. He has been close to exposing Magus Bazaar, but so far all attempts have failed. So he has been trying extra hard, to expose Jake for the dragon he is. Jake tells him that nominating him for 'Biggest Weirdo Freak' won't prove to people that he's a dragon. But Rotwood thinks that with him nominated, it will throw him off his game, and the moment Jake 'dragons up' at the wrong time, he will be there to expose him.

As Jake leaves his office, the gossiping only gets worse. Every where, kids are making fun of him. Jake runs through the halls, trying to escape, only to find himself back into the library.

Spud is still there, watching internet videos again. With no other place to go, Jake logs onto the internet. He decides to write a blog about Rotwood, to take out his anger.

Eventually, Kara and Sarah find Jake's blog in Magus Bazaar. They search the blog, with some of the other magical folks. But when they all read about the horrible and mean things Rotwood has done to him, they take it out of context. Soon, every one things that Rotwood is up for bounty, and the reward is one million dollars.

Walking down the street, Trixie explains to Jake that he is sinking lower on the popularity scale. But right after, Spud jumps out from the alley right at Trixie and Jake. He explains to them that he is going to be a internet video star, by dressing up as a zombie bandgeek and scaring the town.

Just then, a Harpy flies out at the gang. Jake dragons up, to fight her off. But she flies away saying 'no reward is worth this.' Still wanting answers, Jake chases after her, breaking off her bag around her waist. Trixie pulls out of the bag, fliers that say Rotwood, 1,000,000. Then behind them, they see Rotwood walk out of the store.

They head off to Lao Shi's shop, explaining that there must be some magical creature offering a million dollar reward out for Rotwood. Lao Shi and Fu agreed to search the Magical world to try and find this person, while Trixie, Jake, and Spud secretly watch over Rotwood to make sure he is safe from any magical creatures WITHOUT him knowing.

For the next few days, many magical creatures enter into the school, searching for Rotwood. Jake dragons up, and fight them away, but more than once he was almost caught being a dragon. With all this, it's not helping his social life get any cooler. As Brad advertists Jake For Freak shirts and fliers, motivating every one to vote for him. Finally, he totally cracks when he attacks a egg salad sandwich Rotwood was eating, thinking it was a shapeshifter. He leaves the cafeteria, to blow off some steam with his blog.

Meanwhile, Lao Shi and Fu search around Magus Bazaar, looking for the person behind this. But all there traces, lead them to the place where they started. This time however, they find Kara and Sarah. They mention about the blog Jake wrote about Rotwood. They call Jake, informing him that he is the person that got the idea to everyone about Rotwood being up for a reward. In the library, Jake quickly changes his blog, telling them everythings alright, Rotwood and him are cool now. But this, only makes things worse. The magical creatures believe that Jake is being forced to say these lies, and that they should destroy the Rotwood beast once and for all. They all charge out of the building, to get him.

Jake quickly gets Rotwood, to tell him about the trouble he is in. But at first Rotwood doesn't believe him, until a gang of magical creatures comes attacking him outside of school. Jake fights them off, only to fine more and more creatures coming after him. Jake carries Rotwood in the air, and flies him to the shop.

There, Jake shows him the blog he made, and that it was him making all those creatures come after him. But Rotwood feels he's deserves it, after all he has done to him. And feels like this is going to be another hopeless birthday. But quickly, Jake thinks up a new plan, one that will make both him and Rotwood happy.

Blindfolding Rotwood, Jake takes him to Magus Bazaar, to show in front of the magical creatures. He then announces that he has caught the Rotwood beast, and that the reward goes to him. The magical creatures forget about the reward, and walk away. Overjoied by the site of magical creatures, Rotwood quickly runs off the stage, and observes all the magical creatures in the area.

The next day, Rotwood makes an announcment to the school about everything that he has said about Jake Long is false. But he isn't mad, because he feels like he has done something in his life, worth while. But just as Jake walks out of his office, Rotwood pulls a video chip out from his belt, to upload the film he caught of Jake and the other magical creatures to the community. Only to find out that Jake switched the tapes when he was blindfolded, with the tape of Spud as a zombie band geek. Jake burns the tape Rotwood wanted, and ends it by saying better luck next birthday.
