Grandpa, Fu Dog, and Jake go on a mission to catch a goblin named Ralph. It seems that the Huntsman is going to retrieve an Orb of Malorphus. After he got caught, Fu performed a truth spell on him and retrieved very useful information. He has a job to collect the Orb of Malorphus from the Huntsman and ship it to Ohio.
Fu Dog makes a potion for Jake to tap into the ability to shape shift into anyone he wants to be. When Jake takes that potion he transforms into Fu Dog and Grandpa and makes jokes about them.
In the park, the Huntsman is waiting for Ralph, Jake transforms into him and goes and retrieve an Orb of Malorphus. Then Jake acts like Ralph to convince the Huntsman that he is Ralph, the Huntsman points at him, Jake thinks that he is going to shoot him, but a message appears and the Huntsman says that he will have to bring it the next day, and they disappear.
When it is time for the parent-teacher conference, Jake transforms into one of the teachers and tells his parents that their meeting is in another room. Then Jake transforms into his mother and talks to Professor Rotwood and tells him that he is just jealous and Jake leaves. Then he transforms into Professor Rotwood and goes talk to his parents, Jake acts silly to make Professor Rotwood look silly and dumb like Jake said the night before, his parents leave mad.
In the hall way he transforms into a singer and goes up to Rose, but they make him play his guitar and sing and he fails to do so that he leaves. Outside in the skate park he shape shifts into a professional and makes the bully let Trixie and Spud skate.
At night when it is time for him to retrieve the Orb, his leg doesn't change into Ralph's he just shakes it and turns into Ralph's leg. When Jake leaves, Grandpa believes that Jake has misused his shape shifting powers. When he is talking to the Huntsman, the Huntsman is going to give the Orb to Jake, but something happens that Jake walks away and starts transforming into Grandpa, his mom, Professor Rotwood, Fu Dog everyone that he has shape shifted into. Everything starts going wrong that he stops in the singer.
He then fights with the Huntsgirl and capture him. Later, Grandpa and Fu Dog take Ralph to lead them into Jake and the Huntsman, and just as Jake's head is about to transform back, Fu Dog turns off the lights, and Jake manages to turn dragon and escape. The Huntsgirl and Jake fight, the Huntsman and the Huntsgirl decide to retreat, the Orb is about to fall down but Jake catches it.
Outside of his school, Jake and Grandpa are talking about what happened. Grandpa asks Jake if he has misused his shape shifting powers, Jake tells him that he didn't but at that moment they see Jakes mom and Professor Rotwood arguing, Rose on the news talking about the singer, and Trixie and Spud come and tell them about the skater. Jake smiles at Grandpa and Grandpa yells "Jake!" The episode ends on that.
