On Halloween night, Jake, Trixie, Spud, and Fu Dog are at the shop, guarding it while Grandpa and Haley go trick-or-treating. As Jake tries to maintain his balance, he flies out of the shop, and lands on the street where people crowd around him. They get fooled that it is just someone in a dragon costume. After getting attention for having the best 'dragon costume', Jake decides to throw a big party with both magical and non-magical creatures.

Meanwhile, the Dragon Council arrives in New York City and Grandpa and Haley are trick-or-treating. The Dragon Council then go inside the shop and find Jake throwing the party. They get surprised and drain out Jake's powers. Now, Grandpa and Jake are suspended from the Dragon Order and Jake's powers are deactivated until further notice.
The Dragon Council then head for the Isle of Draco until the Huntsclan kidnaps them. As Jake sadly walks out of the shop, he notices that the Huntsclan has taken the Dragon Council so he goes to follow them. When he finds the Dragon Council surrounded by the Huntsclan, he goes back to the shop, starting a plan.

When Jake got to the shop, he asked everybody to go and help him defeat the Huntsclan by partying the night along. When they get to the graveyard, they manage to defeat the Huntsclan and the Dragon Council reconsidered on giving Jake his powers back (except Councilor Chang). When the battle was over, the party was back again.
At the end of the episode, Grandpa and Haley are at the shop counting their candy. While Haley goes to get the door, Grandpa secretly dumped his candy on Haley's jack-O-lantern.
