The soundtrack of the scene in which the Dragon's Temple starts to disappear and the vortex opens to swallow it is the same one from "Batman: The Animated Series". Instead of a Huntsclan uniform, she wears a dark-purple shirt and pants, a belt, a leather jacket, a pair of black gloves, and a pair of black boots with heels. Jake: Okay, here it goes... the happy life that you're living now is an alternate reality that I wished for you. You're actually a mythical dragon slayer who was kidnapped by the Huntsclan, and trained since birth to fight and slay dragons. I need you to come with me tonight to Victoria Peak, to slay the Dark Dragon in order to save my grandfather and possibly the entire Magical World!
Rose: Yeah, I'm not that open-minded. (edit) Jake's Mom: Would someone please tell me what's going on here?
Fu Dog: Long story, short. Gramps has been captured by the Dark Dragon who's forcing Jake to slip a mind control potion to all the worlds dragon at a secret meeting tonight!
Jake's Mom: Oh. You'd think I'd get use to this kind of thing by now. (edit) Jake: We have to rescue grandpa before the eclipse tonight. It's our only chance!
Spud: Yeah, we gotta fight the Dark Dragon! And by we, I mean mostly Jake and the other dragons. (edit) Fu: Yeah but here's the good news, the eclipse only lasts a couple of hours. Kinda like most of my romantic attachments! (edit)

Rose's twin doesn't appear at all in this episode, despite Rose finding out she was a twin in 'Dreamscape.' (edit) Rose's parents don't speak at all, despite being in this episode. (edit) This is the third time Jake and Rose have kissed, the first being in "The Academy", second being in "Love Cruise". (edit) When Rose kisses Jake, her gloves are on in one moment. Then as the screen changes, they disappear for a second (edit) Fu Dog says that the Dark Dragon is the only dragon that has ever turned evil. However, Chang, who is also a dragon, is evil. (edit) Mr. Long finds out about the magical world and that he has married into a family of dragons in this episode. (edit) Rose returns in this episode. (edit)

The title of this episode, "Hong Kong Longs", is similar to the episode "Hong Kong Nights", in which the Dark Dragon also made an appearance. (edit)
