NBC has finally posted something on it which the name American Gladiators is only the working title. Meaning that the title might change.

Open Casting calls are during Aug & Sept 2007 in the following cities: Dallas, New York, Chicago, Miami & Los Angeles. If you're not able to make it to the audition cities, you can submit a video tape. Go to NBC's website and go to the American Gladiators icon to find the rules & regulations for the application which is a 59 questionnaire.
So basically, if you send this in, you gotta be truthfully honest with them because they'll check up on you.

Anyway, other that & auditioning Contenders and Gladiators, there isn't really that much more to tell you. There has been NO dates set on when it is suppose to come on or when, even if it is going to.

I've got some messages out to some people to see if they might be able to help out with some more information. I'll let you know what I find out.

All open call auditions arenow closed. The only call backs will be those who have impressed the judges and the producers.

As of today, there still hasn't been any more news from NBC on the show. So, please don't believe any rumours about anything until NBC has released it such as Hulk Hogan being the new host of it. It isn't true yet, it is just a rumour. Please don't go by what someone puts on wikipedia because as I've said in the past, that is a very unreliable source of information. If you want more information, I will be posting it as I find it out or you can go to NBC's website and find updates there, also.

Well it's possible that it may be true. But NBC still has NOT officially posted it on their website. Which is what I will be going by for the OFFICIAL word.

Unofficially, Everything that I've been seeing has been saying that Craig Plestis, Executive VP, of NBC Entertainment has said that Hulk Hogan will be hosting the return of the competition series American Gladiators.
Plestis says that "Hulk Hogan is an American icon and has been a symbol of strength and toughness in all facets of entertainment. His electrifying personality will no doubt inspire Herculean efforts from our everyday challengers. There is no one more qualified to host this program."

Blah blah blha.. you know how it goes but Until NBC officially announces it, you know what I have to say about it. HH doesn't deserve to be doing it.

Just say it. It sucks if he is going to be doing it. He needs to go back to his little ole reality tv show and go back into his fake wrestling. That's about all he's good at doing. Fake acting and fake getting hurt. boo hoo.

Yeah he should because hes not that type of person who would host a reality tv show. Like the guy said he should go back and do his own tv show. I dont know why they cant have someone who is the former AG Gladiator to host the new one.

Hulk Hogan just needs to go somewhere and lie down and die. His spotlight has ran out a very long time ago. Give it up

I'm actually going to be in LA during their tapings so hopefully I can check it out. I'm definitely not huge on "Hulkamania" hosting but who knows, maybe it'll be a pleasant surprise, Laila Ali will be co-hosting.

Oh and NBC has put the new AG site live (although there's nothing on it yet) http://www.nbc.com/American_Gladiators/index.shtml and a new promo video is up on the AG ticket site - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-d4IX4SLEo

Yeah I've seen the previews of it while Macy's Thanksgiving day parade was going on. Didn't show much on it except for the name and that it was coming in Jan. As for Laila co-hosting, that would be kinda kewl, I guess. I'm sure that something is not going to go right with it. I mean Hogan is going through a divorce right now. Linda has asked for it according to this. And plus his son was in that wreck in Fla or something. so it seems like he's having so many problems that somethings going to go wrong.

There was also a promo on it last night while Heroes was on.

It just showed them running around and knocking the contenders over.

Michael O'Hearn, who was previously Thor when the original series was on, tried out for it and was accepted. He was the main guy up front that cracked his neck at the end of the preview. There are 4 guys and 4 gals. it showed some of them with capes on which kind of looked a little ridiculous for now a days but if they're going for the ancient times of Gladiators I can see what they're trying to achieve. But they should just stick to what has been done in the past. keep it a competition show and not have the Gladiators start thinking that they are all that like some of them turned into towards the end of the run.

Access Hollywood had a clip on the new Gladiator show. On the set with Hulk Hogan, they showed clips from the past episodes of the former Gladiators in the Joust [Rebel] and the Pyramid.

New events shown were the Pyramid, the Joust with a new twist in which they fall into water instead of on the pad, the Gauntlet

Quite a few good new teaser clips of the New American Gladiators has been put out that have been found on youtube. Some of the greats like Zap, Lace, Gemini, Nitro, Blaze, Diamond, Ice, Sky, Sabre, Laser, Turbo, Thunder, Viper, Elektra, Siren, Hawk, Tower as well as Craig Branham, Rico Costantino, Wesley Berry, Kyler Storm, Mark Ortega, Maria Nichting, Tim Goldrick as well as the UK Gladiators can be seen. It looks like the majority of the new events shown all deal with water some how. The events shown so far are the Pyramid, the Joust[gladiator/contender falls into water when defeated], the Gauntlet, the Assault[gladiator gets pulled back on zip line when defeated], Powerball, the Wall & Hang Tough[Contenter/gladiator falls into water when defeated] some new event where they are ontop of it.. it might be the new Atlasphere?? which is probably over water too.

The Gladiator men's team consists of Titan, Militia, Wolf, Justice, Mayhem and Toa
The Gladiator women's team consists of Venom, Fury, Siren, Stealth, Crush and Hellga.

So far the show looks kind of interesting but I think the water concept might be a little bit overdone. I can see it on a couple of the events but not on almost every single one of them that I have seen.

The new American Gladiators have hit the E! channel. they were on their top 10 list and the black guy, don't know his name, took the opportunity to have his try on the Pyramid.
