Okay it was great the first few seasons, now its just a joke. hide show

I used to really enjoy watching this show. My family and i would have a special day where we'd all sit together and watch the show for one night. But now its just gone down hill. It was great up until season 6. Then somthing happned. Now the show is for amatures looking for some screen time on international television. And the past few seasons havent even had great ratings. The show has become a joke for all americans. There is truley no more raw talent. The show to me dosnt have a very bright future to look forward too.

Dont get why ppl like this so much. hide show

American Idol is a contest reality show about ppl singing and competing against each other to see who will be the next American Idol.
I rlly dont get what the fuzz is all about. This isnt as good as ppl say. Is boring actually. Just watching ppl singing, wow, big deal. I dont see why ppl like this show so much. Just a bunch of ppl singing. Is just boring. American Idol is one of the most watched reality shows in American Tele vision, but I dont see why. Seein a bunch of guys and girls singing crappy songs is as boring as hell. Why do ppl like it so much?

It's an OK show; not the best, but it's definitely not the worst. One thing's for sure, it gets kind of old, fast. hide show

American Idol was one of my favorite television shows when I was very little, probably eight or nine. I just loved the fact that all of these random, undiscovered people with gifted voices could go up against light, medium, and harsh judges and see if they're REALLY gifted singers or not. I was always a total fan of this show in the first six seasons, but after that, it just lost its spark.

It's just not interesting anymore; I guess after nine seasons of seeing some teenage and young adult singers walking on stage and belting their hearts out, and some of them really screwing up, it gets kind of old. Now I only watch it for the auditions, because those are hilarious.

ONE OF THE WORSE SHOWS EVER!!!! hide show

I don't know why I started watching this stupid show. This show is scripted, fixed, and just lame. I'm not watching this at all in the 9th season or any other season of this show. It's a complete waste of time. All the judges and host could be replaced easily. Yet they keep on there and don't give anybody else not famous to get a chance judge the show.I started this show in in the middle of season five and I've been ever since and I like 16 and I was just to young to really what kind horror this stupid show really is.

    8 Great

It's a good show and fun to watch, but it's getting a little old. hide show

I can remember the very first time I ever watched American Idol, when season 2 first started. Since then, I started to look forward to the middle of January every year. However, now I feel the show is getting a little old, and I wonder of people are starting to get tired of it. The one thing I still get really excited about seeing is the auditions at the very beginning. Those can be so funny and unpredictable, but usually the funny ones are also sad. It is also interesting to see what songs the contestants choose to sing and to see what the weekly themes are when it gets down to the final 12 (or in this year's case, 13). One more thing...has anyone else noticed that Ryan has stopped saying "Secrest, out!" at the end of the shows? I have. I wonder why. Marebear2009, out!
