You know what, seriously, all of this will be forgotten in a month anyway, so I'm done arguing, really. Kris won, that's the end of it, there was no scandal, he just got the most votes. Maybe a lot of the Adam fans were complacent when it came to voting, thinking there was no way he could lose so they slacked off, I don't know. I just know I voted for Kris, with my home telephone, no texting or whatever, and I voted for him about 50 or so times. I'm sure most of you are very nice people, if Adam does good in the future, more power to him. I hate this bickering with people I don't even know.

I was going over a few of the comments below me and I feel there's a big difference between bitter feelings and feeling disappointed because Adam fans know he was cheated. You can blame AT&T for that and partly AI. In all honesty, I think Kris fans know as well who has the real talent and they also know who's getting all the attention which would be Adam; so maybe you are feeling slightly bitter? I did watch Regis & Kelly when Kris was on and today when Adam was on. dafeedil, we know you have been to college to learn how to spell intricately composed word like daffodil. But what they should have been teaching also in that college is that writing ***complete*** sentences in caps means that the writer is SHOUTING, not that - it's considered rude to type in all caps when making a comment on a website - as you have posted. So if your intention is to SHOUT AT PEOPLE ALL THE TIME!!! it may bother some delicate ears. However it is OK to write a few words here-n-there to HIGHLIGHT or EMPHASIZE a term or FULL EXPRESSION when you wish to get readers attention, especially when the use of BOLD fonts is not available.
Also, if the "theory" that Arkansas won Kris the AI title by voting 38 million times, why didn't the all 37 million residents of Adam's state vote just one time? That would have almost counteracted Arkansas' vote. So, that little conspiracy theory is shot. Mandiny, I'd watch what you say, honey. Insults and pot shots don't really show off your intelligence, not like you think they do.
American Idol made both of them known. Without American Idol you wouldn't have known about Adam Lambert. Bashing American Idol isn't really that cool if you like Adam Lambert.

Not many in this country of ours are sagacious enough to understand the difference between the scenes were puppeteers make the action and those were the reality shows contestants are NOT articulated by pulled strings.

J Jammer, you are one of the few people that post on here that actually makes any sense. Kris was on the Ellen show this morning, and once again I was blown away by his vocals and just the way he's "every" guy, not a showy, over the top performer. He's just a guy, a guitar and an awesome voice, Adam is lighting and smoke and costumes and screaming. Adam Lambert didn't win American Idol for a very very good reason, because he wasn't as well liked as Kris Allen, end of story. This theory that Arkansas swayed the vote with Kris, how stupid is that? According to Wikipedia, Arkansas has a population of 2,855,390. California (where Adam is from) has a population of 36,756,666. How can a state with not even 3 million people sway a vote over a state with almost 37 million? I'll bet anyone that within 5 years, Kris will outsell ANY former AI contestant, ever.

Adam Lambert should have been the winner. And what really sucks is that itunes doesn't allow download of his tunes to internationals. How crazy, when Adam has fans who wish to download his tunes legitimately. I know I can pick them up from usa friends but I would like to do it legit because I think he deserves the money.

It doesn't really matter! The fact is KRIS WON! Did Adam deserve to win? Yes! Did Kris deserve to win? Yes! They both deserved to win. (Just like both Davids deserved to win last season) Unfortunately, there can only be one winner and this season America chose Kris. THEY ARE BOTH EXTREMELY TALENTED and THEY BOTH WILL BE SUCCESSFUL!!! So, It doesn't matter!
The bitter is amusing. Adam says Kris is very talnted. People need to stop focusing on what makes their bitter jusitifed. Reality exists.

one thing i know for sure that AT&T denies the 38 million votes from Arkansas. the (KLRT-TV) station that reported it recanted the 38 million votes. link: http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/station-retracts-report-arkansas-cast-38-million-american-idol-votes-9016.php so we wouldnt really know that do we unless we speculate again or come-up with a conspiracy theory. 2nd there is NO OFFICIAL report about the margin of votes from FOX, or AI Officials... only gossip which cannot really stand... infact there is a gossip that official sources says that the margin is a thrashing win. of course we would'nt really know that do we. We just cannot rely on mere speculations to conclude a point.
Deserve to win American Idol doesn't rest on kris's remarks neither yours (refering to kris's critics)... it is America's... And America has spoken. He might have not realized it but America did.
I just heard on the news that people need to be careful with iTunes. They are getting viruses (even with an anti-virus program installed) so be careful! A friend of mine was downloading music all the time from iTunes and last month is computer crashed...brand new too. Just a warning.
LOL at J_Jammer. As far as the other comment, I wouldn't exactly say Adam and Kris "are incomparable". Kris just doesn't have the vocal range, sorry. I really think Kris was sincere when he said Adam deserves to win, because in fact, Adam did deserve to win. But look at it this way, Adam is free to do what he wants and accept contracts without being "under the thumb" of American Idol. Now that I THINK ABOUT IT, I'm glad he didn't win! :)

Actually, susyvas51, what Kris meant by "Adam deserves this" is that Adam deserves the title just as much as he did. Neither one of them ever told anyone who the better singer/performer is. That's cause both know that they are incomparable because they are different and they are just both grateful for the opportunity American Idol gave them. Both will be genuinely happy with either outcome. That's what's great about the both of them. :-)

Congrats to Kris! Am I sad Adam didnt get the title he deserved, yes! Do I believe there is something fishy about how many votes came from Arkansas, yes! BUT, I will say this...I WAS THERE, at the FINALE! YES, a friend of mine got some tickets the day before, and we went! I will say, I was pleasantly surprised at how well Kris's voice is. NOT that I had any doubts, BUT, to hear him AND Adam live...was different than watching on tv. I do however feel that Adam did a better job on the 'Kara song'...it seemed like Kris struggled with it, that was obvious. BUT, that song also suits Kris better, so he may have won, but along with that comes that song being attached to him...ugggg. I dont think either of them wanted that, but, it comes with the territory. As far as Kris saying that Adam deserved the title...well...sure, I agree, BUT he also needs to feel like he is deserving! My hat off to both of them, and to their long careers that lie ahead. Adam's will take off sooner, ONLY because he will not be under the AI umbrella for a year, and will have more freedom to do his own thing. Like I said, they both sounded great live.........do I still think ADAM is better?? YES! BUT, Kris is very talented, so we need to leave it at that! 2 very different styles......but both good. I was happy to take part in the whole experience live...and we did stand up and applaud Kris also after he performed. BTW..whoever mentioned that Adam is good, but is better suited for Broadway, he has NEVER done Broadway, and he started off his singing career in a band! Check it out sometime. If u say this because of his theatrics, look at the final show, along with many other greats.......Kiss, Alice Cooper, Ozzy, Cher, Madonna, etc....there is nothing wrong with adding more to a performance than just singing..makes for good entertainment! SO, keep rockin ADAM...and keep it up Kris, dont get lost being tied to AI for a year!! Now, can we all just get along in here and be happy for both? I am!
. . . oh yeah, and regarding what you said about me mentioning 60 years ago, you missed the point completely. when i mentioned that america hasn't come out with anything musically innovative since the 1950s, i was referring to genres of music, not a progression. anyway, by and large, our progression since then has been largely based on what was already going on in the rest of the world before it made it to the US (i.e. electronica/dance, synth, punk, etc. . .), which isn't to take anything away from the US. hollywood WAS the mother of motion pictures, and the american south was the birthplace of rhthym and blues, which led to rock/pop. but to state that an entertainer isn't worth anything until/unless he makes it in the US is just failing to see beyond the microcosm of your own little world (not to mention, making you appear like the stereotype of a cocky, ethnocentric american). every country, from the czech repub to new zealand, has their own entertainers, their own music, their own movies, their own television shows. . . adam will do well, here and elsewhere, anyway. so the entire point is moot.

"that musician" is morrissey, lead singer of the rather influential and iconic band the smiths, who came from manchester (england, NOT america) in the early 80s. it's fairly typical of americans to only be aware of what is current on top 40 american radio (operated by the radio monopoly clear channel) and to ignore their musical history, as well as any other music other than what they're spoonfed, so i should't expect you to know who he is. are you aware that other countries have their own awards shows too? sure, they'd like to win an oscar, just like they'd like to win a brit award, or just like they'd like to win at the cannes film festival. these are major awards, just like ours and equally as coveted by artists. regarding "ignorance", i just wonder what wordly-wise experience you draw from to deem others ignorant or informed on the ways of the world? you seem to preach these opinions with some authority. i suppose the fact that my dad was welsh, and i have family members in about nine countries across the world would render me "ignorant" regarding such matters, in comparison to your experiences though. do tell. . .

I think that Kris and Adam both deserved the title. Both of them are so talented, but in a different way. There is no way we can compare these two because they are doing musics of different genre. I am a Kris Fan, but i like Adam too. I just hope that you guys can see that it really is that the both of them have won, and don't say bad things about Kris anymore. Both of them are gonna have bright bright future ahead. And AI is the very first stepping stone for them. Let's just support them =D

Gosh, I have'nt made a comment in a few days, lol. Ever since that wacko mspoop or whatever her/his name was accusing me of talking about religion on here when I was only replying to SOMEONE else's comment as to WHY so many people were bringing religion into this. It is true that the voting was unfair, but that is neither Kris's fault nor Adam's and no body should be bashing either contestant. I agree with edward1948 and you also AiCritic, except Kris is not a yo-yo. As far as the comment from another user down there, about Kris saying Adam deserves to win...that is entirely true because the whole nation heard this. Do you think Adam really cares about some title?? He knows he's already a star and even Paul Stanley from KISS said that there are no losers, they are both winners. Adam was the reason AI had such high ratings (read this several times already) but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that. American Idol is very political...and yes, the genuine talent is buried underneath it. Everyone has their opinions on here so it's a losing battle. Personally, I like both Kris and Adam but this was a singing competition and it's obvious that Adam's vocal range far surpasses that of Kris's. Point is - If you watched week 10, when Kris was the first saved, you should have though to yourself at least in the slightest bit---"Kris is getting the most votes at this point"--- In reality, Did Adam deserve to win? - yes - Did Kris deserve to win? - just as much - But watching the end result it seemed like Kris didn't want it as much as Adam did; as humble as he his, he looked kind of upset that he won the title. As I recall he had this dazed look on his face when his name was announced and was like "wait...no i don't deserve this, give it to Adam" but i might be paraphrasing. Anyways - Congratulations to Kris - and Adam, one of the better seasons in my book

What is funny is that people are stating that Adam is the most creative contestant. They fail to remember Blake Lewis who was far more creative with his arrangements than Adam. So let's twist this and state the only reason he is loved is more for him being gay than talent. That's what it seems like, now. Talking about talent while ignoring who had more is really retarded. And I wish to freakin' whomever....that Adam fans get smarter or something because he is a great person who deserves to have fans that appreciate him for him not out of spite.
Kris & Adam, who showed greater talents? Adam has great talents in how to style & present himself as a rock star... Kris's talents are infused into how he convert a song into KRIS's style . Based on the song"No Boundaries", Kris's version has more punch in it... He doesn't belong to big voice category, yet he challenged that strainful song and it turned out to be more significant than Adam's version.

Well there was not a lot of comments to read up on today only took 45 min. I've been an Adam follower since day 1 and that is why i followed this season. I am as much in shock about the final as i am in the lack of congratulatory comments from Kris' followers at this time. Where are you? You have as much the right to place comments here as we do and should be flooding this impartial sight. Get with the program this is an open sight you know.
snakestress -- All those bands came where? America. Because they knew they wanted that market....and so they came here. It doesn't matter what that musician says. That's an opinion not fact that American isn't the world. In geography yes it's not the world. In entertainment it is the world. Bollywood creates so many movies, but some of them want to come to America. Winning the Oscars for Movies is something that all in film want to accomplish (and those that say they don't care came close and didn't win and feel it's better not to care). Grammys as well. Sundance too. So he can state that America is not but that's ignoring how powerful America is in the Entertainment industry. If America happened to be in this Eurovision (but can't...not in Europe) it would become massively popular. More so than it is now. And as you can see with American Idol the world tends to watch....while not watching other people's Idols. Who has the surviving Survivor show that flourishes? America. I didn't say America is great. I'm stating that it's a entertainment powerhouse and ignoring how powerful the country is in entertainment is admitting to being ignorant. Oh and mentioning how American isn't a powerhouse by using 60 years ago as proof is not thinking about progress.
