Amy Davidson: Biography

Amy Davidson may be best known for her role as Kerry Hennessy on 8 Simple Rules. Yet, she started in the entertainment business as a dancer, after her parents enrolled her in dance classes as a young child. A member of the award-winning dance production company, Dance Motion, Amy was quick to develop her skills in ballet, hip hop, pointe, and modern dancing. Then after years of captivating audiences at national dance competitions and annual Dance Motion productions, she decided to move into acting. In which, although she began by working in commercials, it was not long before she was encouraged by her acting coach, Gene Fowler, to move to Los Angeles, where Amy soon landed a recurring role as 'Cammie Morton' in the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen series So Little Time. Amy also guest-starred in the drama series Judging Amy in 1999 and appeared in the TV movie The Truth About Jane in 2000, however her most recent appearances have been in the drama series Strong Medicine and the comedy Malcolm in the Middle.
