Amy Elizabeth Fisher was born to Elliot and Rose Fisher on August 21, 1974. In 1991, when she was 16 years old, she had a secret affair with auto mechanic Joey Buttafuoco, a then 35 year-old man who was married and had two children. In time, Amy became jealous of Mary Jo and forced Joey to choose between them. When Joey chose his wife, Amy responded by attempting to kill Mary Jo Buttafuoco, by shooting her in the face. Mary Jo survived the attack, and Amy Fisher was arrested. The story of garnered her the nickname of "The Long Island Lolita" and served as tabloid and talk show fodder for… More months. Amy served seven years in prison for the attempted murder and prostiution. On May 6, 1999, 24-year-old Fisher was paroled and was released on May 10, 1999. In 2003, her parole ended. On September 10, 2003, she married Louis Bellera (whom she met through an online dating service). The couple have three children together.
