Amy Spanger was born in Newbury, MA in 1971. She began dancing as a young child and continued her lessons through adulthood. She attended Triton Regional High School and graduated in 1989. While in college, she was told by a play director she could make it in New York as a singer. She moved the New York City the next month in order to do just that.
