Everyone arrives at work Monday morning to an awful odor. Just as Andy is taking the blame for it—a rotten sandwich in his desk—the office is learning that the smell is coming for a co-worker who died in his office Friday night and was only discovered Monday morning. Jessica announces everyone has to undergo grief counseling. Byron initially tries to get out of grief counseling and then admits to Jessica that he thinks he killed his co-worker by encouraging the guy to eat fatty foods then do push-ups (the man died of a heart attack). Jessica, in trying to comfort Byron, says if anyone killed the guy it was her: She yelled at him and threatened to fire him if he missed another deadline. Soon Byron is blaming Jessica for killing the man and they begin a heated debate over who killed the guy. Byron unloads his very sad life story to the grief counselor. Later the counselor commits suicide and Byron feels responsible for her death.
Meanwhile, the dead guy used to do most of Keith's work for him, so now Keith is annoyed because he actually has a workload. He's working so hard, he's not able to take Wendy to the "Sound of Music" Sing-Along and enlists Andy to take his place. Gladly, Andy takes Wendy and they have a great time. Wendy plants a kiss on Andy before he leaves. Andy frets over what the kiss meant. Andy tell his "dude" neighbors Phil and Teek about the kiss and they tell him to go for it; Wendy's definitely interested in him. But when Andy tells Jessica, she says Wendy is not interested in him romantically and he should forget about it. Andy says he's going to go for it anyway.
At the co-worker's funeral, Wendy makes a move on Andy and asks him if he'd like to go out for a drink. They end up at his apartment and she passionately kisses him. Then they both stop themselves because Wendy is really Keith's girlfriend. She tells Andy he's one of the good guys.
