Notes

Music:
When Gunn approaches the casino -- "Gangster's Paradise" by Coolio (edit)
This episode scored a rating of 3.6/5 in the overnight Nielsen ratings, ranking 5th out of 14 WB shows for that week. (edit)
Amy Acker does the "Previously on Angel" voiceover. (edit)
Wes again has no dialogue in this episode. (edit)
When Gunn mentions leprechauns The Elder demon chides him about leprechauns not existing. This continues a running gag in the Buffyverse about leprechauns. (edit)

Quotes

Angel: I think he was going to be left-handed. The way he would hold on to your fingers? His left hand always squeezed just a little bit tighter. Kid had a grip. He was going to be a south paw for sure. When you live as long as I do, you eventually lose everyone. I'm not saying you get used to it but you expect it. You deal. But he was just... He was just a little... You think you know something about living because you have this really long life. And that's really all we have, I mean, in my case anyway. And one day you wake up, and you have something else.
Cordy: A future.
Angel: I had a son. (edit)
Fred: Pancake kiss! (edit)
Fred: The prophecy was false. Angel was never going to hurt Connor. It was all for nothing. (edit)
Gunn: Man! You hear those two?
Fred: It's beautiful. All that time and they're still in love. The way they finish each other's insults. (edit)
Gunn: So, Skenches. I've heard about them. Sort of impish kind of demon - like a leprechaun.
Syd: Leprechauns don't exist, son.
Monica: Now, Syd, don't embarrass the lad.
Syd: Oh. Sorry kid. (edit)

Trivia

add »
At approximately 20 minutes and 20 seconds from the beginning of the episode, a quick scene of L.A. is shot from an helicopter. The wide angle used was too wide for the filter (probably a polarizer or a UV) and therefore on the side we can see some serious vignetting (the dark marks around the corners). (edit)
At one point when Cordelia is comforting Angel about Connor, she tells him that he will "go on living." She is technically incorrect, for Angel is not alive. (edit)
Watch the sandwich Cordy is holding when she talks with Gunn. It's sticking partway out of the bag before she sits down, but jumps back all the way into the bag after she sits down. (edit)
When Cordy is talking to Angel after the second commercial break, there is a lot of serious mismatched lip synching between her on-screen dialogue and her lip movement. (edit)
When Fred is talking about how Gunn broke up with her, watch Angel. His head is up and back until the shot switches and his head instantaneously is bowed down. (edit)

Jenoff: We keep a close eye on the Akashic records
Wiccanism - A hall of records about every soul's life, magick, healing and spirituality. This hall exists on a psychic level, and can be accessed through a visualization journey in the mind. (edit)
