Show Summary

Warner Bros. follow-up to Tiny Toon Adventures was a show even nuttier than its predecessor. It originally ran every weekday afternoon and Saturday mornings on Fox for the first season, then moved to Saturday mornings on the (new at the time) WB permanently for the remaining seasons. The two Warner...  more

  • Something from "Critical Condtion" that puzzles me

After Hisskill and Eggbert have changed their mind about Slappy Squirrel and decide that she's the funniest cartoon character of all time, they say "Slappy Squirrel, we salute you", but they don't even give her two toes up! What's up with that? Can somebody please give me an explanation?

The real golden age of cartoons. hide show

Alright, how can you not love the Animaniacs? They're funny, cool and... well just that, funny and cool! They could have been another crappy kids show like Spongebob or Fairly Odd Parents, but it chose not to be. And as a result, the show is popular, even to this day. And it's not even on TV anymore! Unlike kids shows of today, Animaniacs wasn't afraid to make jokes aimed at adults. As a kid, I missed most of them, but now, I can truly appriciate the risks the show took. Most major Animanaics fans (such as myself) can tell you that that's the reason that lead to it's unfair cancelation. But I'll spare you on that backstory.

I only have one complaint on the show. The proportions of the characters change with nearly every episode. Yeah, I know it's because the company went with diffrent Animation studeos as the series went on, but it really gets on my nerves when one character is smaller than another in one segment, but in the next one, they are the exact same size. (That happends alot with Wakko and Dot, if you notice.) The animantion in the episode "King Yakko" really makes me cringe. But that's a review for another day.

But aside from that very minor problem with the show, Animaniacs is one of the best cartoons ever made. And if you havn't seen it, do yourself a favor, and watch it somewhere online.

I love this show, I never get tired of it! I wish they still aired reruns, watching this show was one of my main activities when I was a kid. I can't wait to get the DVDs! :D hide show

One of my ultimate favorites! This show was a big part of my childhood, along with Tiny Toon Adventures and others. Love the characters: Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are great main characters and excellent representatives of toon comedy. Slappy Squirrel and her nephew Skippy are great too, Slappy is hilarious and very clever. Hip Hippos and Goodfeathers are also funny, I especially like it when Pesto misunderstands Squit. Pinky and the Brain are also funny, I especially like the "Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?" routine. I don't like Mindy and Buttons though, I keep feeling sorry for Buttons.

How could you not at least like this show?! hide show

OMG!!!! Why the @*$% was this piece of gold cancelled?! It was such a great classic! It was as funny as hell, and waaay better than Tiny Tunes and Pinky & the Brain. Especially that Barney parody, "Bolonga Dinosaur" or something like that. It's not easy to grow out of this treasure! What a butter on the bread show! This cartoon also reminds me of many old school cartoons. There's also a bunch of cool references and innuendo that can keep all ages watching, like that segment that looked like the God father! lol :P I also remember a scene when a monster was driving a car, and took off the steering wheel and said, "Why don't You Drive?!" ahahaha! the funny little monster!!!! I simply love this show, and recommend it to anyone that likes family friendly cartoons.

one of the best shows of america hide show

    ok,
I know that i have heard this show "animaniacs" way back in 1988.The commercials said that the WB productions promised that a cartoon would come up.It was animaniacs,my new best friend.Well, when i was like around around 13,i started watching animaniacs before anyone woke up (it was showed at 5 AM)and that's when my dad would tell me to dress up for school.Even my principal in my middle school would let us watch it,so that is why animaniacs is my new best friend.I miss it so much that i just watch it on youtube with some Sean kingston music (if there is songs). But they said that Cartoon Network still broadcasts the movie "Wakko's Wish".So that's pretty good for a grown man like me.So that's my review with yakko, wakko, and dot.(Unknown Species of dog? Skunk? Mouse?).

    Best. Show. Ever. hide show

By far, this is my favorite show. I have never seen anything that's made me laugh this hard. In cartoons today, the quality is incredibly poor compared to Animaniacs. Animaniacs had wit, sophistication, satire, clever slapstick, great music, the best voice actors in the biz, writers who write for themselves and don't worry about a specific age group, animators who like to make things stretchy and flexible instead of tight and expressionless, original characters...the list goes on and on. The pure mixture of childish buffoonery and mature overtones makes this the perfect cartoon for every age group. I also love the messages this cartoon gives: Authority isn't always right, and it's not completely devoid of corruptness. Humor brings happiness even in the worst situations. Stand up to those who bring you down. Appreciate art. Laugh. I learned a lot from this show, even if doesn't seem like it would teach anything. Best of all, this cartoon was bold, meaningful, and just plain funny. It's more than some stupid cartoon. It's a work of art.
