Every kids' network is dying. The easy solution would be to migrate, go to NBC or TNT or whatever and make it a new haven to watch TV shows.

You know what killed cartoons? Anime. Everything went downhill the moment every show on CN and Nick featured some pretentious, androgynous twerp hunting for magic jewelry.

I agree. If CN's going to replace quality Western cartoons with imported Japanese stuff, they should at least choose good ones, not sh!t like Inuyasha, Naruto, or DBZ.

    Nick is entirely USAnimation, though.

Actually, DBZ was on CN when it was in its prime. It had a lot to do with CN's overall popularity, and just because you feel that its sh!t, doesn't mean that it was one of CN's problems. I mean, I understand that you don't like it, but you have to realize that its not in the same boat as Naruto and Inu-Yasha, because it wasn't used as a replacement or anything, it was used to actually provide kids with some entertainment, rather than to just completely scam them into watching truly crappy shows. That is not to say that CN didn't use DBZ to make money, but like I said, it was back on when CN was in its prime, and has a good deal to do with why CN was in its prime at the time .

I agree with those who say it's not JUST Cartoon Network that's dead; have of the more popular TV channels died along time ago (CN, Nick, Disney, MTV, VH1, Spike TV)

But if you ask me, anime didn't kill CN (I thought it would rather tried to give it new life)

If you wanna know what's killed Cartoon Network and all the other kids channels, it's the stupid belief that kids are supposed to enjoy wacky senseless slapstick humor more than shows with deeper darker storylines that are still funny.

Why is Cartoon Network dead? Anyone got some financials to back up that statement? And exclude any effect from the WGA strike.

I think he means dead creatively. Still, CN is far behind the success of Nick and Disney Channel.

I don't know. I've seen a good bit of kids with Ben 10 booksacks. The show didn't get a live action movie cuz it was flopping, after all...

I think Anime did kill CN. Even though alot of channels are dying I think that CN is one of the worst channels right now.

Anime killed CN??? Really? Anime is actually saving CN cuz a lot, and I mean a lot, of people watch Naruto, One Piece, etc. What killed CN is shows like Squirrel boy and my gym partner is a monkey and also airing live action s**t.
