    She's the most powerful for most of the beginning of the story, this is based off the manga not the anime, but as the story progresses there are more enemies that are about her level so its hard to distinguish her powers over the others.

    Even the anime series makes her weaknesses so obvious that she wouldn't even be a contender against any of the other characters people are mentioning. Just need to beat of Tsukune before he takes off her cross or douse her with water and finish her off .

    Now I really wanna watch YYH to see why certain characters are always mentioned in these threads. ^_^

    Does Ideon count as a character? It has an attack that can only be equaled, and never suppassed.

    Yeah that's the one. What's ironic is that you'll really only hear his name in topics like these that discuss the most powerful anime characters.

    This list includes anyone w/out universe changing powers (that they can use of free will):

    1. Light Yagami - He could kill you with pen and paper. He also has a personal bodyguard of death. And the way he works, he'd know your name and face before you even knew he existed.
    2. Haruhi Suzumiya - Would be #1, but she can't control her reality manipulating powers.
    3. Alucard - Beastly powers of immortality and darkness.
    4. Admiral Kizaru (One Piece) - For those of you who don't know, he has the power of light (and yes, he has been in the anime as a shadow), which means he can manipulate, turn into, and generate light.
    5. Vegetta - What is there to say? He can destroy planets at will. Of course, he is a bit hard-headed...
    6. Lelouch Lamperouge - Has the power to force anybody to do what he wants them to (of course, Gai could own him with his tactics for Kakashi).
    7. Akira - Amazingly awesome psychokinetic.
    8. Aizen Sousuke - He can completely fool you to where he's at. Of course, this doesn't really work against a death note...
    9. Kenshin Himura (Rurouni Kenshin) - He can beat anyone in a sword fight.
    10. Vash the Stampede - Can destroy entire cities when his arm goes boom. Oh, and he dodges bullets.

    From what I heard of the final battle, Gurren Lagann can kick everyones butt and since Dragonball GT is non-canon so he can kick Goku's as well.

    Ideon from Space Runaway Ideon has a sword that is infinite and slice planets in half and has the Ideon gun to destroy galaxies in one blast. Highlight for semi-spoilers Fanboys have jump to conclusions that Ideon destroys the Universe.

    Limit one character per anime please. Cause I know you could make a big list of DBZ characters for your list.
    Actually, Alucard is far from being one of the strongest anime characters. People like Yomi and Raizen from Yu Yu Hakusho could crush him with ease, as well as Yusuke, and quite a few other characters, by the end of the Chapter Black arc.
    Are you sure about that. Can any of them survive if they get decitated. I doubt that. Alucard is Imortal and he would totaly kill Them. You should see all the episodes and OVA and you will see actually how strong he is. He even hasn't used his full strength agains anyone expect incagnito. So Alucard deserves the second place on that list and the strongest Shinigami the first place.

    It is ridiculous at how TTGL got in terms of their battle sizes. [SPOILERS]The final battle had Gurren Lagann being able to use galaxies as saws and literally used an entire universe as their plane of battle. [/spoiler]

    No way that anyone from DBZ stands a chance but I know of one person that thinks a character capable of destroying galaxies rather easily isn't enough to defeat Goku *cough*

    Isn't Aizen the same species as Ryuk and Rem. I don't think the Death Note would work.

    I pretty sure that Hiko can defeat everyone in Rurouni Kenshin.
