- Mew Mew Power and Cardcaptors r good romantic/comedy animies. Also, sometimes digimon is quite romantic (like in series 3 with Takato and Jeri, and in series 2 with the unsucessful one-sided romance between Kari and Davis)
- You might like Super GALS. It's more Comedy than Romance but the main characters do pursue relationships and crushes so it does have some good dating situations. If you are a Luci Christian fan this is required viewing
I think Ah My Goddess is the best romantic comedy I've ever watched, didn't like the genre much before watching that one.
Fruit Basket was ok, the character development is a tad bit over done at times.
Crescent Love was really good, you'll have to watch it in subtitle as I don't think there is an english translation for it yet. Centers around a girl that is a princess on a Lunar colony, the Earth and the Lunar colony have been at war a couple times, the girl's sent as a representative for political events (in the hopes of creating peace) but also enrolled in a school to further her Earth studies. The one thing I liked about this one was that it didn't use the stereotypical shy boy, after the guy warns up to the gal there's barely any shyness (which doesn't take long). It's also political heavy though, you really grow to hate the man cast as a bad guy throughout the show. I'm still not sure of the ending to it though, it's sad but at the same time beutiful, though I'd have to say it's one of the best endings to a series I've seen.
Not sure if you'd really qualify this as romantic comedy, certainly comedy with undertones of romance, Lost Universe. The animation in the first few episodes is total crap due to budget issues when it started, but it gets much much better after the 4th or 5th episode, along with sound quality. It's got a sort of dual romance feel to it though, the lead character seems to be in love with his ship's AI (if you've seen Andromeda you'll pick up on how much that series drew from Lost Universe), and a young women who wants to be the best in the universe at everything. The young woman starts out as an anoyance but becomes part of the team and a lovable character in some odd sense of the word loveable. The ending is tragic to say the least. Think it's to note that Lost Universe is an alternative interpretation of the groundwork for Slayers, though imo Lost Universe is much better done than Slayers was.
If you like Chobits, Dears is a great one with a much more comedic feel to it. Dears is about a space craft crashes on Earth with almost entirely beutiful women bread/manufactured entirely for servitude, a guy hates them but finds one in need of help.Thoughout the series the guy and his friends try to enforce the idea that the Dears don't have to be servents, that they can be free people, but it's much harder than it seems to get the servitude nature out of the Dears.
Another one similar to Chobits and Dears would be Steel Angel Karumi. Karumi, an android created for combat, is found by a young boy and falls hopeless in love for him, but the boy just doesn't have as intense of feelings for her. The first season is great, full of good laughs, the second season however is utter crap.Edited on 11/13/2008 3:34am

Seto no Hanayome
Welcome to the NHK!
SnH is an amazingly funny romcom thatll keep you rolling on almost every episode. *still rememembers the fish porn episode* lol.
Welcome to the NHK! is also considered slice of life. its very realistic and addresses many of the social and psychological problems japan is facing right now. this is a downbeat comedy where the two protagonists deal with psychological problems (the male is a hikkikomori and NEET), and the female..well i wont spoil it. both are excellent. though i do prefer Welcome to the NHK more so that SnH because its more mature for my age.
