Anjelica Huston was born on July 8th, 1951 to actor and director John Huston and ballerina Enrica (Ricki) Soma. Anjelica spent most of her childhood in Ireland and England, and was in a few of her father's movies during her late teens. Unfortunately, her mother died that same year in a car accident at age 39, and Anjelica moved back to the United States, where she modeled for some time.
Starting in the late 1970s, Anjelica studied acting more seriously, and slowly began to take on some of her first real roles in several movies, one of the first being "The Postman Always Rings Twice". Eventually, Anjelica was cast by her father in the movie "Prizzi's Honor" (1985) as a girl named Maerose. Also, for that movie she received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance, becoming the first person in history to win an Oscar when both a parent and grandparent had also won one.
After that, Anjelica took on some more notable roles in movies like "Gardens of Stone" (1987), "The Dead" (1987), "The Addams Family" (1991) and "Addams Family Values" (1993), "The Royal Tenenbaums" (2001), "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" (2004), and "The Grifters" (1990), for which she got an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
With almost anything any woman could ever want -- beauty, height, boldness, and confidence -- Anjelica most certainly always gives her best in everything she does. Though there have been some tradgedies in her life -- her mother passing when she was young, and her father in 1987 -- she doesn't give up. Anjelica is now married to sculptor Robert Graham since 1992, and the couple currently live in Venice, California with their 11 cats.
