Anna Faris: Summary

Recent Role:
Herself / Guest on Sidewalks Entertainment
Gender:
Female
Birthday:
11-29-1976
Birthplace:
Baltimore, Maryland, USA
Birth Name:
Anna Kay Faris
AKA:
Anna Kay Faris
Difficult to recognize in her natural blonde state following her turn as a raven-haired Neve Campbell knockoff in Scary Movie and it's sequel, Anna made her professional acting debut at the tender age of nine at Washington's Seattle Repertory Theater. Refining her skills in improvisational theater, she later found roles in commercials and small local productions, though her future as an actress came into question as she pursued further education and a move overseas.

Raised in Seattle, Anna studied English Literature at the University of Washington after high school, later moving to London to begin working and writing. Longing to return to her childhood love of acting, Anna took a role in the run-of-the-mill teen slasher pic Lover's Lane. Making the move to Los Angeles in order to pursue an acting career full time, her previous improvisational experiences would soon come in handy as she landed her breakthrough role in the popular Scream-slanted spoof of teen slasher pics, Scary Movie.

Not only did she start getting interviewed, but she also was getting more fans. After Scary Movie she finished shooting the indie film Love's Unlimited Orchestra with Gretchen Mol and Denise Richards, in which she plays a junkie. Anna also has a pilot for NBC's Summer lineup, called Dog Days. The show is about Anna and her dog, and there are live characters as well as voice overs for the dogs.

Anna has also appeared in two Scary Movie sequels, The Hot Chick, her second movie with Rob Schnieder and Cult hit May with Angela Bettis.

Anna also starred in an indie short called "Saphron Burrows", soon after Scary Movie. Her mom said "she did the film for her friends because it was run on a very low budget."

Anna never takes anything for granted and definitely has her head on her shoulders. She takes all of her fans to heart and tries to thank all of the reporters. With her career boosting everyday, Anna has a lot to look forward to. Hopefully, she will stay the way she is. Real.

"I try to keep my head on straight and take nothing for granted."
