Anthony appeared as a second character in the Star Wars saga. Lieutenant Dannl Faytonni, a background character in Star Wars episodes 2 and 3. (edit) Anthony has appeared as C3P0 on The Sesame Street and on The Muppets Show. (edit) Mel Blanc, who was in contention for the role, was the one who ultimately suggested Anthony for the voice of C3-PO. (edit) Anthony is the first actor to appear in both a Star Wars film and a Lord of the Rings adaptation, by having played C-3PO in Star Wars, and voicing Legolas in Ralph Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings. Other crossover actors include Paul Brooke (the Rancor keeper, who also voiced Grima Wormtongue in the BBC radio adaptation), Christopher Lee (who played Count Dooku and Saruman), Marton Csokas (who played Celeborn and was the original voice of Poggle the Lesser), Kiran Shah (who played an Ewok, and was the scale double for Elijah Wood and Ian Holm), and Bruce Spence (who played Tion Medon and the Mouth of Sauron).

Anthony has been described as a standoffish by other members of the Star Wars cast. Particularly Kenny Baker who has been feuding with Anthony for thirty years. (edit) Anthony Daniels: (On Star Wars) George's devotion to digital effects over-balanced the films. Too many digital funky characters become a little bit wearing. The storytelling always gets subsumed.
