Anthony Stewart Head was born on February 20th 1954 in Camden,(UK). His mother is actress Helen Shingler, and his father is Seafield Head, a producer and the founder of "Verity Films". His elder brother, Murray, is also an actor. His life companion is Sarah Fisher. Sarah and Anthony met when he was 28 and she was 18. Anthony and Sarah have two daughters; Emily Rose (born 1989) and Daisy May (born 1991).
Anthony was the Herald in the "Jackdaw of Rheims" at six, and the Emperor in the "Emperor's New Clothes" at seven. In junior high school he participated in house drama competitions and won three years running. while in school he used to write plays. After high school, he worked for his father's company for a year as an assisting editor.
Head originally wanted a career in music, and so he attended London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, where he stayed until 1976. Like many actors, he started his career on stage.
His debut was as Jesus in "Godspell" in London's West End. He really got his fame from a series of commercials for "Gold Blend coffee". This was a career booster, but now he was labeled as "a smooth talking, romantic leading man".
After his commercial hit, he decided to try his luck in the USA. He moved to Los Angeles and struggled for some time, not being able to get any TV jobs, until he landed the role as Oliver Sampson in the science fiction series VR5. He also managed to land the role as Giles in the series Buffy The Vampire Slayer. In what free time he had from Buffy, Head was working on a Gothic musical. Anthony chose to become a recurring character in Buffy's sixth season, so that he could spend more time in England.

Most of us probably know Tony Head from his role as Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Considering the depth of the character and the amazing way Tony portrayed him, am not surprised. The man is very versatile, able to do comedy and drama with the same intensity. In his role as Giles he was absolutely convincing as the rather silly authority figure and as the sorcerer with a past. My personal favorites are the unemployed Giles from season 4 and the season 5 finale where he showed he's not exactly a nice man.

Beyond Buffy, he's done great work in larger parts (Manchild) and smaller (season one of Jonathan Creek). He also played a Doctor Who villain perfectly, the chilling adult aspects of the series once again underlined with his performance. Tony is especially memorable as the Prime Minister in Little Britain, the amorous target of his aide Sebastian. Watching him evade Sebastian's tries are absolutely hilarious, whether he's dusting in a black leather harness (!) or having Sebastian sing Beautiful to him. I hope they haven't buried the watcher series completely, Tony Head deserves more work. The man is a wonderful actor as well as a complete hottie.

Anthony Stewart Head is a very talented actor who has done many different roles but is most known for his role as Rupert Giles, the Watcher in 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'. And I have to admit that, for an older man, he's also incredibly attractive!

Also known in the UK for his role in Nescafe Gold Blend adverts during the 1980s (where he and Sharon Maughan play a couple who get together over coffee), it was 'Buffy' that really catapulted him to public acclaim. He can also do comedy extremely well, playing the Prime Minister who must fend off maniacal obsessive attentions from his besotted assistant Sebastian (David Walliams) in the hit UK comedy series 'Little Britain'.

Recently, he guest starred as a villain opposite David Tennant in the new series of 'Doctor Who', thus cementing the whole cool vibe. And just to add the icing on the cake he has also played Frank n Furter in the stage version of 'The Rocky Horror Show'. How cool is that?

Anthony Stewart Heads biggest role wos in Buffy the Vampire slayer where he playd old librarian Giles, who wos actually Buffys mentor and her guardian. The role of Giles fited him perfectly, but it made im little bit too old, actually in real life his is little bit more youthfull and happyer. He has many different talents that actor need: humor, sexy, smart, mysterious. He really made the role of Giles his own and at the end I wos very surprised when he did magic it really suited him. I really hope to see more of him on television, but he is allready little bit old but lets hope age only gives him bigger edge.

Anthony stewart head is really really fit for his age. I mean you've got to admit he has gorgeous eyes and a cute smile. I'm only 15, and he is hot in my eyes, and it was a brilliant idea to use him as the prime minister in little britain....he just seems like the person you would fancy. I'd be his assisstant any day!!
